Constant Spring Hanger is a specialized load-bearing pipeline suspension device designed to solve vertical displacement problems of high-temperature and high-pressure piping systems. Different from rigid pipe brackets and fixed supports, this constant force spring hanger provides nearly unchanged supporting load during pipeline thermal expansion, cold contraction and vertical displacement. It effectively eliminates pipeline stress concentration, prevents pipeline deformation, joint leakage and equipment damage caused by load fluctuation. What Is a Constant Spring Hanger?
A constant spring hanger is an engineered pipe support that uses a helical coil spring combined with a geometrically shaped cam (or bell crank lever mechanism) to offset the spring's natural load variation. As the pipe moves vertically due to thermal expansion or contraction and the spring deflects, the cam rotates about a main pivot point, changing its mechanical advantage to compensate for the spring's variable resistance.The result is a nearly constant output force across the entire travel range
Why Constant Spring Hangers Are Required
